2010-07-29 Easy, laid-back music .. I really enjoyed this c.d. I was familiar with only 2 or 3 songs but after listening to the whole c.d., I think it's great. It's perfect
summertime music, reminding you of flip flops, ocean, beach and lazy, slow days. I like the steel drum sound in "Flake". The whole c.d. reminds me of a day at the beach. I will definitely check out more of Jack Johnson's music.
2010-06-01 Best Album he's made I have every album he has made plus a few others that he guest stars on. Today I got "To the sea" and it made me realize how much I appreciate "Brushfire Fairytales". He show cases everything in this CD from his great solos, to his acoustic guitar, to his amazing lyrics. If you want to get a taste of Jack before the hype pick this CD up and you won't be sorry.
2009-04-02 Astounding in every way! No only do I love Jack Johnson's music, the mastering is phenomenal. If you have the audiophile gear to really appreciate the post production work, this is a must have CD. It is my number one choice for demo-ing my music room's system to friends, family and the like. To just see their expressions is such a treat. Jack is not just playing - he's right there with you. Fantastic work!
2009-03-31 How Sweet It Is!!! This Jack Johnson CD or record is great to own. Get it today!
2009-01-14 Wonderful and Peaceful Jack Johnson writes songs that are laid back with a jazz and blues feel mixed in to provide songs that are easy to just relax to.
Understated playing which let's the songs breath with good lyrics and a playfulness. Towards the end of Fortunate Fool you can hear Johnson provide a musical nod (and a grin it seems) to another song.
Sit down on the couch, lower the lights and just listen.
