If you had read the negative reviews that other people have written and are now having second thoughts about listening to The Used please DO NOT let those reviews fool you! The Used is an amazing band with a unique sound, don't think all they do is scream they have beautiful songs like "blue and yellow" and "on my own". I have yet to meet a person that does not like this band and for me it looks like the ppl that gave this cd a bad review are old dudes who never got over 80's music and hate on bands like The Used because they play new and creative music. So please give The Used a chance and if you are open minded about music I know you won't be disappointed.
The Used's debut cd is great from the moment it starts to the very end so you don't have to worry about it having any bad songs, the lyrics are tremendous, the music is really unique and it's a nice change if you're tired of bands writing about their girlfriends. This is their best cd so if you're curios about this band listen to it!

Besides the guys being pretty much completely creepy and just like them because of this albums musical genius (not lyrics), it was a great delivery.
2009-10-02 on of my favorite albums, and i hated screaming in music before this guy
definitely an awesome album. i was such a huge used fan when this album came out and i used to buy every album they put out afterwards. unfortunately they have lost their edge since the first album, each album after slowly going further into the abyss. however this album is just spectacular. before this and even after i never liked screaming, screamo, emo, whatever people use for the types of indie music effects that burt is actually able to pull off miraculously as an artist, due to both his incredible voice and overwhelming, violent, and sometimes putrid energy. i don't see how everyone that likes music cannot own this album.
2009-03-02 Not Your Average Emo Album
I cant say I'm a big fan of the emo genre, but this band really doesnt deserve to be put under that tag. This is a killer album and probably their best release

To the braindead reviewer who said "one of the best rock albums of the year easily" too bad The used are pop. Using the word rock and this garbage pop band in the one sentance is discraceful.
