2010-03-21 damn!!
I shld've reviewd this a looonng time ago; it's quite, quite good. Audioslave really perfects the post-modern rock sound. Groups like Coldplay and Kings of Leon owe them. Buy Out of Exile. I never skip a song and just about every time i play this disc I play it twice back to back.

2010-02-01 A Great Contribution to the Music World
I've been a fan of Singer Chris Cornell since I first heard his music with Soundgarden in the early '90's. He has a very distinctive voice you can't mistake for anyone but him. Audioslave is a different style of band than Soundgarden, creating a more commercial, straightforward style of rock. The other members of Audioslave are Tom Morello (guitar), Tim Commerford (bass) and Brad Wilk (drums) all from the well know Rage Against The Machine.

The album is well produced, featuring some excellent songs, like "Doesn't Remind Me", "Be Yourself" and "Your Time Has Come", which is the strong opening track. "Doesn't Remind Me" starts out with a lightly strummed guitar sound to be joined with Cornell's lovely vocals and a pounding bass. The title track "Out of Exile" is a very dramatic mid-tempo rock song with great drum work. Sure the album like most has it's down time with songs that are slight boring but overall Audioslave are a great contribution to the music world.

2009-06-05 Out of Exile
Out of Exile being Audioslave's 2nd studio album and their 2005 release was met good reviews by the critics and Allmusic and the Austin Chronicle gave it both 4 stars. The album was also well received by the public and peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 and the Canadian album chart. Singles released from this album were "Be Yourself", "Your time has come", "Doesn't remind me" and "Out of Exile". The booklet is quite nice with all the lyrics, some very nice photographs of the band. 4/5.

2009-05-23 Great album
Liked more songs than I didn't. Not as good as self titled cd: Audioslave.

2 1/2

The kind of contrived radio friendly material which generates a multitude of mediocrity amidst a few earnest gems. Usually the whiff of disposable Rage-Soundgarden outtake aroma permeates the vibe, although a practical, accessible approach behind many of these often insignificant sections is certain.
