Album Description Daniel Powter confirms Powter's fine songwriting talents with standout tracks such as the memorable opening track "Song 6", the driving melodies of "Suspect" and the delicate ballad "Jimmy Gets High". It was produced by Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Crowded House) and Powter's long-term collaborator Jeff Dawson. |
This has a couple of great songs, some good and some bad. You know which ones I am talking about.
2009-01-23 WRONG MP3
Really like this album. I even liked it more after I got the correct one. Be advised that the MP3 Album download associated with this album by Daniel Powter is NOT the one you will get if you buy the mp3 album to download. You will get a self-titled album called "Daniel" by Daniel.
2009-01-01 Fantastic album. Very fun music
I'd never heard of Daniel Powter until I googled the lyrics to the song "Bad Day" last week and decided to order the cd based on the samples I heard. I've listened to the cd about 4 times now and like every track more each time I play it. It's solid throughout - no weak tracks to my ear, although "Jimmy Gets High" and "Suspect" are my favorites so far. Powter's music reminds me a little of Henry Gross, but I think his tunes are a little hookier. Powter's vocal style is probably not for everyone but if you're a fan of falsetto vocals (as I am) and fun pop songs with a little rock edge to them I highly recommend this album to you. I think this guy's gonna be a star.

I originally bought bought this CD for the song: Had a Bad Day. But found out some of other songs weren't so bad. My son Loves it! He listens to it everyday.

Absolutely love this CD. Bought it because I heard the song Bad Day on a commercial. The rest of the cd is great.
