The mission from Camp Basra to Tallil by the 2228th MP Company went off without a hitch. The troops were careful to follow the new protocol calling out to each other information about oncoming vehicles while keeping their eyes open for anything suspicious. The rules of engagement changed on Jan 1st. when more control was passed to the IraqiÕs from the coalition forces.. Road travel is still the biggest risk for soldiers so every mission carries potential risk. Once at the base in Tallil, the troops had lunch at an oasis of American fast food restaurants, set up in trailers before heading back to Basra. ///Gunners boots
