Product Description The Griffin elevator makes using a laptop computer on your desktop much more comfortable. It raises the laptop screen to eye level, it frees up desktop space for a separate keyboard and mouse, and it significantly increases airflow around your laptop, keeping it running nice and cool. The 3-piece construction is easy to assemble and portable.

It does what it's supposed to do. Aesthetics pair well with Apple Macbook Pros. Included hooks keep the notebook from sliding off. Highly recommended.

I'd say this is a very good stand for any laptop. The build quality is great and doesn't feel like my laptop will fall off. It comes with clips now to keep your laptop from slipping. I have it next to my lcd monitor and i find the height perfect as it at eye level. would recommend this to everyone with a laptop.
2010-08-16 Comes with clips to prevent sliding now
A friend had recommended this stand to me, saying he loved his. I was a little nervous about ordering it due to people's experiences with their computers sliding, so I was relieved to find some clear plastic clips included. They snap on the front of each side to prevent slippage, and are hardly noticeable. Good to see Griffin addressed the problem eventually. I'm happy with the stand, it's just the right height to be ergonomic for me and has the added bonus of keeping my computer cooler as well.
2010-08-16 Looks Good, Until Assembly
This was a beautiful product in the box, but the metal legs scratched the plastic base during assembly, leaving a few noticeable scars. Needless to say, it was a disappointing design flaw for me. Otherwise it would have been a five-star product.
2010-07-15 Well made laptop stand, that is not as slippery as reviewed
When brand new, I did find there was some slippage as others here have reported. However, once I cleaned both the stand and the bottom of the laptop with glass cleaner the slippage was immediately eliminated and I now have no problem with any of the laptops I place on the stand (13" and 17" MacBookPro and MacBook). I chalk the problem up to the typical film that coats most new products these days and the dust and crumbs that come from everyday use of a laptop in coffee shops and kitchen tables.
I find the stand to be a solid platform at just the right height to reduce eye and neck strain and find it aligns just right with most adjustable height monitors.
