2010-07-12 Good cooling Rack I am pleased with this product. Fits half-sheet perfectly. One small issue: one of the two I ordered was damaged when I received them. One of the metal crossbars with feet was disconnected from rack. I notified Amazon who immediately shipped me a replacement and collected my returned item through UPS the very next day. Very impressive service! While Amazon provided excellent service on exchange, I deducted one star for the item being damaged and the uncertainty it creates going forward. But so far, so good.
2010-07-07 Great Grate! Fits a half size pan perfectly, has supports in the middle, and is made out of heavy gauge wire. Can't beat it.
2010-07-04 Support Broke Before 1st Use I was so surprised to find the middle elevation support bracket on the bottom of the rack snapped off with almost no effort. It literally came off in my hand. The little stand off bar seems to have been tack welded on with the tiniest fraction of metal...just enough to hold it in place but not enough to make it last. I have not even used it ONCE and it is falling apart already, just putting it away in my kitchen. Maybe the old versions made it the USA were good but these new Chinese (?) made ones are not something I will ever buy again or recommend. Too much hassle to send back for the money involved so it will just have to be a reminder to not purchase from this manufacture again. Jeeze...its getting so most everything seems to be poor quality no matter what the name. I would be happy to send a jpg to the manufacture if anyone there is remotely interested.... MM
2010-07-03 CIA Cooling Rack I recently purchased the CIA Hyde Park Knife Block Set and thought I would see if the CIA Cooling Racks were of the same quality. They are. I bought two. They are sturdy racks. I will use them this weekend while baking cookies! They also fit in my half sheet pans and I will use these to crisp bacon slices in the oven. I have to say I am impressed with the CIA product line and I would recommend it to others.
2010-06-24 Part of a package I purchased this cooling rack along with a Nordic Ware sheet pan. The combination is used for cooking bacon in the oven. The stove top will never see bacon spatters again. I can cook bacon to any desired doneness, and cleanup is a breeze.
