2010-06-28 Awesome Stand This dual monitor desk clamp is a god sent. If you need 2 monitors and want to clear space on your desk, this is the ultimate solution. Cheap, easy to install, and very sturdy. The one thing that you need to be careful of is to make sure there is a clearing in the back of your desk for the clamp. Id say about 5" without anything in the way of the clamp. This stand is perfect. And at this price, dual monitors aren't just for editors and designers anymore. Everybody should have 2. Its just cooler and you can be much more productive
2010-04-10 The solution I was looking for... A couple of years ago, I went "dual". Oh, what a glorious day that was! I now have two 22" monitors and I pretty much can't work without them. I need that extra space, it truly does increase my productivity around 20% or so. I get so much more done than I ever did before.
The problem I ran into is that the monitor bases were pretty squat and I found myself looking "down" at the monitors instead of straight ahead. They also took up valuable desk real estate as I tend to have a lot of random junk on my desk.
I went in search of a solution and found several things, but this seemed to be the best bet to not only raise the monitors and give me more desk space, but to also be able to adjust them as needed. I will admit that when this came in the mail, I was hesitant that it was going to support these monitors, but it came together pretty quickly and it works great.
I love that I now have a taller clearance under the monitors, gained more space and no longer have to strain to see the monitor. The best part is that I'm able to arrange them how I like. I prefer my monitors slightly tilted in towards each other and these are highly adjustable. I will say that if you have your desk too close to a wall, this won't work. I've always had mine pulled back a little bit so it's a non issue, but if you do, note you'll need to be willing to pull back a bit.
2010-03-12 I was very pleasantly surprised! I had been researching multi-monitor support brackets for several months before landing on this product. I have two 22" LCD flat panel monitors that I needed the mount for. Part of the delay in making my purchase came down to price. Every mount that I found escalated in cost from as low as $120 to $500+ and higher! I had spotted this mount on Amazon while researching, but because of the price, I was concerned that it might be something flimsy and cheap.
After some frustration, I went back to Amazon because this bracket had such a low price. My goal was to spend no more than $100, and this mount sold for less than $60 - I had my reservations. The customer reviews were solid and it appeared to do everything that I needed a multi-monitor support to do. So, I ordered it thinking that if it did not meet my expectations,I would return it. As with most everything I've ordered through Amazon, it arrived within a few days, and the first surprise was the size and weight of the box it arrived in. I really can't say what I expected, but it wasn't what had arrived.
After opening the shipping package I was very pleasantly surprised! This thing is solid and has some weight to it. In my opinion for less than $60 this is one heck of a deal! It is as good as some of the higher priced brackets, and may even be better than some. Even the allen wrench tool supplied with the kit is top quality.
It has a number of articulating joints to allow for better positioning and aligning of your monitors, and cabling holders are attached to the arms! I have since assembled it (which was extremely easy) and mounted both of my 22" monitors. There is a solid feel to the assembly, and no vibration to my monitors. I have to admit, I am very happy with this purchase. I feel like I found a real bargain from Amazon, and finally a manufacturer who makes a quality product without gouging their customers on price.
2010-03-01 Best Price I purchased two of these monitor stands after searching around and finding this was the best price I could find. The monitor stands I admired in other offices cost more than a good monitor.
This monitor stand is what it appears to be. It clamps on very well and adjusts pretty well. The arms are really not long enough and cannot be brought forward well enough, unless you're using average to small monitors, but nothing came close in price.
I think you will be happy with this purchase. You might think about getting a larger dual stand if your monitors are large as mine are. Otherwise, this is an easy choice.
2010-01-30 Excellent Product I love this product. It makes my workspace feel like a command station. It was also simple to set up.
